Kmart Prescription Savings Club
Quick answer: The Kmart Prescription Savings Club no longer exists. Kmart closed nearly all of its stores and pharmacies, and the last full-size Kmart on the U.S. mainland shut in October 2024. You’ll need a different pharmacy discount program now.
What happened to Kmart?
Kmart shrank for years under Sears and later Transformco. The last big mainland store, in Bridgehampton, New York, closed on October 20, 2024. Only a small Kmart in Miami and a couple of stores in Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands are left, and none of them run the old prescription club.
Where to save on prescriptions instead
- Walmart pharmacy has low-cost prices on many common generics.
- Costco’s member prescription program can cut the price of drugs your insurance doesn’t cover.
- The AARP prescription discount card works at many pharmacies.
If you have Medicare Part D, check your plan’s preferred pharmacies first. A discount card can’t be combined with insurance on the same fill.
