Quick answer: OfficeMax doesn’t offer a senior discount. OfficeMax and Office Depot are one company with one set of deals, and the old 10% off for AMAC members isn’t on AMAC’s benefit list anymore. Use the free Office Depot OfficeMax Rewards program instead.
Is OfficeMax the same as Office Depot?
Yes. The two merged in 2013. Some stores still have the OfficeMax sign, but prices, coupons and rewards are shared with Office Depot. Anything that’s true for Office Depot is true at OfficeMax, so our full Office Depot senior discount page covers both.
What happened to the OfficeMax AMAC discount?
For a while, AMAC members could get about 10% off at OfficeMax. We checked AMAC’s current benefits and didn’t find OfficeMax or Office Depot listed. If you’re an AMAC member, search your member benefits page to be sure, but plan on paying regular prices.

- Rewards: free to join, with 2% back on most purchases.
- Ink recycling: $2 in rewards per cartridge you recycle, when you spend $10 that month, up to 10 cartridges.
- Weekly ad: paper and ink go on sale often. Stock up then.
