Walgreens Seniors Day Discount
Quick answer: Walgreens Seniors Day is the first Tuesday of every month. If you’re 55 or older and a myWalgreens member (free), you get 20% off eligible regular-price items in store. Online, the same 20% runs for about a week with the code SENIOR20.
Who qualifies for Seniors Day
You need to be 55 or older and signed up for myWalgreens, the free rewards program. You don’t need AARP. Some older guides still say AARP gets you in, but Walgreens’ own Seniors Day page only mentions myWalgreens. Signing up takes a minute at the register with your phone number.
How to get 20% off
- In store: shop on the first Tuesday of the month and have proof of age at checkout.
- Online: log in to walgreens.com and enter SENIOR20 during the online window. In September 2026, for example, it ran August 30 to September 5.
What’s not included
The list is long. Prescriptions and pharmacy services are out, along with sale items, alcohol, dairy, tobacco, gift cards, stamps, electronics, photo orders, CBD, baby formula like Similac and Enfamil, and some brands. Stick to regular-price vitamins, first aid, household and personal care items to get the most from it.
Our tip: plan a monthly stock-up for the first Tuesday. You still earn myWalgreens cash on top. For prescription savings, see our Walgreens prescription savings page or compare with CVS ExtraCare.
