AMC Theatres Senior Discount
Quick answer: AMC gives senior pricing to moviegoers 60 and older, usually $1 to $4 off an adult ticket depending on the theater and showtime. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, free AMC Stubs members get 50% off tickets, which is often the better deal.
What age is a senior at AMC?
60 and up. Our old page said 55, but AMC’s senior price now starts at 60 at the theaters we checked. Bring a photo ID, since staff can ask for it.
How much is the AMC senior ticket?
AMC doesn’t set one senior price for the whole country. Each theater sets its own, and the savings usually land between $1 and $4 off the adult price. Afternoon shows are cheaper to begin with. IMAX, Dolby Cinema and other premium formats add a surcharge on top of the senior price.
To see your real price, pick a showtime on amctheatres.com or in the AMC app and look for the “Senior” ticket type.
Is there a senior day at AMC?
There’s no senior day, but there’s something better for most people. AMC Stubs members get 50% off tickets every Tuesday and Wednesday at participating theaters in the U.S. The free Insider tier counts, and you can join in the app, online or at the theater. It’s half off the regular adult evening price, all day long.
- Premium format surcharges and online ticket fees still apply.
- Some movies and holiday periods can be left out.
- On those days you can also get 50% off a small popcorn and drink combo, bought in the theater.
Our tip: if you can go on a Tuesday or Wednesday, join Stubs Insider and compare the half-price ticket with the senior ticket. Buy whichever costs less.
