Norwegian Cruise Line Senior Discount

Age Requirement: 55 years old

Quick answer: Norwegian Cruise Line doesn’t publish a senior discount. Its deals page lists special rates for military, teachers, first responders and solo travelers, but nothing for people 55 and older. Some travel sites say NCL has 55+ fares on select sailings, but we couldn’t confirm that with Norwegian.

Does Norwegian have 55+ cruise rates?

Not officially. You’ll see “up to $100 off for 55+” on a few websites, but Norwegian doesn’t list it anywhere we could find. If the booking page or your travel agent asks for your age, fill it in. If a senior fare exists for that sailing, it will show up. Just don’t plan your budget around one.

Better ways to save on a Norwegian cruise

  • Book last-minute. NCL runs deals on sailings within about 60 days. If you’re retired and flexible, this is often the cheapest way to go.
  • Watch the package offers. Free at Sea bundles drinks, specialty dining, excursion credits and Wi-Fi. Compare it with the cruise-only price.
  • Use Latitudes Rewards. Past guests earn points and get member offers.
  • Veterans, ask about military rates. NCL’s Military Appreciation Program covers active and retired service members.
