Motel 6 Senior Discount
Quick answer: Motel 6 has a senior rate for guests 60 and older, but it’s only 5% off the best available rate. AARP members do better, with 10 to 12% off, and AMAC members get 10% off. You have to book through the right page or phone line to get any of them.
How much is the Motel 6 senior discount?
The plain senior rate is 5% off for anyone 60 or older. You don’t need a membership. It used to be 10%, so if you’ve read that somewhere, it’s out of date.
If you belong to AARP or AMAC, skip the senior rate and use your membership instead. It’s worth about twice as much.
- Senior rate (60+): 5% off. Book on the Motel 6 senior rate page, in the My6 app, or by calling 1-800-899-9841.
- AARP: 10 to 12% off, plus late checkout until 2 p.m. when the motel can do it. Book through the AARP page on motel6.com or call 1-855-478-4752.
- AMAC: 10% off at participating Motel 6 and Studio 6 locations. AMAC’s member page has the booking link and the account number to give on the phone (855-445-3388).
How to book the senior rate
- Start on the Motel 6 offer page for your discount (senior, AARP or AMAC), or call the matching number above.
- Pick your motel and dates. The lower price should show before you pay.
- Bring a photo ID. For AARP, you also need your membership card and number at check-in.
Things that can trip you up
None of these deals stack, so you get one discount per stay. They don’t work on travel sites like Expedia, some locations opt out, and rates can be blocked during big local events. Our tip: price your stay with the discount and without it. A sale rate is sometimes cheaper, and then the discount doesn’t matter.
