Holiday Inn Senior Discount
Quick answer: Yes. Holiday Inn, like every IHG hotel, has a senior rate for guests 62 and older, or anyone with a membership card from a retired persons organization such as AARP. You have to be an IHG One Rewards member (it’s free), and the amount off changes from hotel to hotel.
Who qualifies for the Holiday Inn senior rate?
You qualify if you’re 62 or older, or if you carry a valid ID from a retirees’ group. You also need to book while signed in to IHG One Rewards.
How much can you save?
IHG doesn’t publish a set percentage. The senior rate is taken off the hotel’s Best Flex rate, and the savings depend on the hotel, your dates and how long you stay. There’s also a Senior Advance Purchase rate that usually saves more if you book at least 3 days ahead.
How to book the senior rate
- Sign in to your IHG One Rewards account on ihg.com or in the IHG app.
- Search your destination and dates, then look for the senior rate in the rate list.
- Or call IHG at 1-877-834-3613 and ask for the senior rate.
Some room types and busy dates are blocked out, and the senior rate can’t be combined with other discounts.
Staying at an extended-stay IHG brand instead? The same rate works at Candlewood Suites. For another big chain, see the Best Western senior discount.
Holiday Inn senior discount FAQ
What age is the Holiday Inn senior discount?
62 and older. Guests younger than 62 can also qualify with a valid membership ID from a retired persons organization.
Do I need to be an IHG member for the senior rate?
Yes. The senior rate is only for IHG One Rewards members, but joining is free.
Does Holiday Inn take AARP?
IHG accepts a retired persons organization membership ID as a way to qualify for its senior rate, so an AARP card can help if you’re under 62. Bring it to check-in.
