Elephant Bar Senior Discount
Quick answer: You can’t get the Elephant Bar senior discount anymore because the restaurants are gone. The chain shrank after a 2014 bankruptcy, and its last location, in Albuquerque, closed in April 2023.

What happened to Elephant Bar?
Elephant Bar once had dozens of safari-themed restaurants, mostly in California. After the bankruptcy it closed location after location. A new owner bought the chain in 2018, but by 2021 only one restaurant was left, and that one closed two years later.
Where to go instead
If you liked the big menu and the fun setting, these chains still offer seniors or AARP members a discount:
- Rainforest Cafe, the closest match for a themed meal
- Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
- Landry’s Seafood
