El Pollo Loco Senior Discount
Quick answer: Yes. El Pollo Loco gives guests 60 and older 10% off at participating restaurants, up to a $1 discount. Military members and first responders get 15% off, up to $1.50. You have to ask the cashier before you pay.
How the El Pollo Loco senior discount works
It’s written into El Pollo Loco’s official discount policy: 10% off for guests 60 and up, with a maximum value of $1. That cap means the discount stops growing once your order hits $10. On a family meal, you’ll still only save a dollar.
It’s offered at participating locations, so a few restaurants may not have it. Just ask.
El Pollo Loco military discount
El Pollo Loco gives 15% off, up to $1.50, to people who serve the community. That includes:
- Military personnel
- Police officers and federal law enforcement agents
- Firefighters and EMTs
If you’re not in uniform, show your badge or ID. It’s also at participating locations only.
How to ask for it
- Order at the counter or drive-thru.
- Tell the cashier you’d like the senior discount before they ring you up.
- Keep an ID handy in case they ask.
El Pollo Loco allows one discount or coupon per visit. So if you have a coupon worth more than $1, use the coupon instead. Paper and email coupons don’t work on app or online orders, and app codes don’t work in the store.
Is the senior discount the best deal?
Often it isn’t. With a $1 cap, the Loco Rewards app and printed coupons usually save more on bigger orders. Our tip: use the senior discount for a quick solo meal, and the app or a coupon when you’re feeding more than one person.
