Quick answer: Yes. DeCicco Family Markets gives a senior discount every Wednesday to shoppers 62 and older. The store no longer lists 60 as the age, and it doesn’t publish the percentage (older lists said 5%). You’ll need to activate senior status on your Preferred Shopper Card first.
How to get the DeCicco senior discount
- Go to customer service with a valid ID and your DeCicco Preferred Shopper Card.
- Ask them to add senior status. They’ll need your date of birth.
- On Wednesdays, hand your card to the cashier before they finish ringing you up.
The senior on the card has to be there at checkout.
What the senior discount doesn’t cover
It skips sale and specially priced items, alcohol, lottery, stamps, newspapers and magazines, floral, gift cards and case purchases. During holiday weeks the store may move senior day, and it posts signs when it does.
Which stores have it?
DeCicco Family Markets has two stores: New City (Rockland County) and Jefferson Valley (Westchester). It isn’t the same company as DeCicco & Sons, so don’t expect this deal at those stores.
