McDonald’s Senior Coffee

Age Requirement: 55 years old

Quick answer: Many McDonald’s restaurants sell senior coffee at a lower price to guests 55 and older, and some include soft drinks too. There’s no nationwide policy, because most McDonald’s are owned by local franchisees, so the price and the age (55 or 60) change from place to place. Ask when you order.

How to ask for senior coffee

At the counter or the drive-thru, just say “senior coffee” when you order. Most places won’t ask for proof, but keep a photo ID or your AARP card handy just in case. Kiosks and mobile orders usually don’t have a senior option, so order with a person.

Is the app a better deal?

Sometimes. The McDonald’s app and MyMcDonald’s Rewards are open to everyone, and they often have free or cheap coffee offers, plus points on every order. If your store doesn’t do senior coffee, check the Deals tab before you order.

Our tip: if one McDonald’s near you doesn’t offer it, try another. Stores a few miles apart often have different owners and different senior prices.
