A&W Senior Discount
Quick answer: Many A&W restaurants give 10% off to guests 55 and older. It isn’t a chainwide rule, since most A&W stores are franchised, so ask before you order. The free Rooty’s Mug Club is the one deal every A&W honors.
Does A&W have a senior discount?
At a lot of locations, yes. The usual deal is 10% off for customers 55 and up. A&W doesn’t list it on its website or require stores to offer it, so some owners do and some don’t. It’s rarely on the menu board. You’ll usually only get it by asking.
How to get the A&W senior discount
- Ask at the counter or drive-thru speaker before you pay.
- Have a photo ID ready in case they check.
- If you want to know before you drive over, call the restaurant.
Rooty’s Mug Club: the deal that works everywhere
A&W’s free loyalty club, Rooty’s Mug Club, sends members money-saving deals and a free root beer float on your birthday every year. A&W also advertises 20% off a first app order. Our tip: sign up even if your local store has a senior discount. You’ll get the birthday float either way.
